Privacy Policy
Summary
The short version. We collect what we need to run NeuroTrade and personalize it for you. We never sell your personal information. Brokerage connections are read-only. You can export or delete your data at any time. The rest of this page explains the details.
This Privacy Policy describes how NeuroTrade, Inc. ("NeuroTrade", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details such as your name, email address, password, and, for paid plans, billing information processed by our payment provider.
- Profile and preferences including your investing goals, risk profile, time horizon, watchlists, and alert settings.
- Conversations with the AI Assistant, including the questions you ask and any files or details you share.
- Communications when you contact support, respond to surveys, or send us feedback.
Information from connected accounts
If you choose to connect a brokerage or bank account, we receive account and holdings data through our data-aggregation partner (currently Plaid). This may include account names, balances, positions, and transaction history. Access is read-only. See Brokerage connections below.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data such as pages viewed, features used, searches, and interactions with alerts and strategies.
- Device and log data including IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in Cookies and tracking.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including the AI Assistant, asset pages, strategies, portfolio views, and alerts.
- Personalize insights, strategies, and alerts to your goals and risk profile.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send service messages, alerts you have configured, and, with your consent where required, product updates and marketing.
- Monitor, protect, and improve the Services, including debugging, analytics, and fraud prevention.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
AI features and your data
The AI Assistant generates responses using machine-learning models. To answer your questions, relevant context such as your question, your watchlist, and (if connected) your holdings may be sent to our model providers under contracts that prohibit them from using your data to train their models.
We may use de-identified and aggregated conversation data to evaluate and improve the quality and safety of the Assistant. You can delete individual conversations or your full history from your account settings.
AI output is provided for informational and educational purposes only and is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
Brokerage connections
- Connections are established through Plaid, and your brokerage credentials are entered directly with Plaid, not with NeuroTrade. We never see or store your brokerage password.
- Access is read-only. NeuroTrade cannot place trades, move money, or change your brokerage account.
- You can disconnect an account at any time from your settings. When you do, we stop receiving new data and delete previously imported holdings data within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law.
- Plaid's handling of your data is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only:
- With service providers who process data on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, customer support tools, data aggregation, and AI model providers, each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- For legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NeuroTrade, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure how the Services are used, and understand the performance of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. After you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations (for example, billing records), resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule of up to 90 days.
Security
We protect your information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, continuous monitoring, and regular independent testing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Learn more on our Security and Trust page.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download, restrict, or delete your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these rights directly:
- Export your data from Settings → Privacy → Export data.
- Delete your account and data from Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
- Marketing emails can be turned off with the unsubscribe link in any message or in notification settings.
- Alerts and push notifications can be managed in your device settings and in the Alerts page.

Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
We process your personal information on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services; your consent where required; and compliance with legal obligations.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
